Nothing here is new. Every commitment on this page already lives on our Returns, Shipping, and Terms pages — we’ve simply brought the four that matter most to a buyer into one place, so you can see them before you enquire, not after.
2-Year Authentication Guarantee
If a work purchased through Hanga House is subsequently determined to be inauthentic by a recognised authentication body (e.g., Pest Control for Banksy, Abe Publishing for Kusama, or a relevant catalogue raisonné author), we will provide a full refund of the purchase price. This guarantee is valid for two years from the date of purchase. The buyer must provide written documentation from the authentication body confirming the finding.
Every work sold through Hanga House is accompanied by a detailed condition report prepared by our authentication team. If a work arrives in materially different condition from its description in the condition report, we will arrange a full refund and return at our expense. Claims must be made within 48 hours of delivery, supported by photographic evidence.
Every work purchased through Hanga House is shipped by specialist art couriers experienced in handling fine art prints and editions — we do not use standard postal services. Every shipment includes full transit insurance covering the agreed sale value, included in the sale price at no extra charge, with coverage running from the moment the work leaves our facility until delivery is confirmed.
Following delivery, buyers have a 14-day inspection period. Hanga House holds purchase funds and does not release them to the seller until this period ends. A claim that a work materially differs from its condition report is handled under the Condition Guarantee above — full refund and return at our expense, subject to the 48-hour photographic-evidence claim window. The inspection hold governs when funds are released to the seller; the Condition Guarantee governs the claim itself.
