Condition Guarantee
Every work sold through Hanga House is accompanied by a detailed condition report prepared by our authentication team. If a work arrives in materially different condition from its description in the condition report, we will arrange a full refund and return at our expense. Claims must be made within 48 hours of delivery, supported by photographic evidence.
Authentication Guarantee
If a work purchased through Hanga House is subsequently determined to be inauthentic by a recognised authentication body (e.g., Pest Control for Banksy, Abe Publishing for Kusama, or a relevant catalogue raisonné author), we will provide a full refund of the purchase price. This guarantee is valid for two years from the date of purchase. The buyer must provide written documentation from the authentication body confirming the finding.
Change of Mind
As each transaction is individually negotiated and confirmed in writing before shipment, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. We encourage all buyers to review the condition report and provenance documentation carefully before confirming a purchase. If you have questions about a work, please contact us before committing.
Damaged in Transit
All shipments are fully insured during transit. If a work is damaged during shipping, contact us immediately with photographs. We will file an insurance claim and arrange either a repair (where appropriate and agreed by the buyer), a replacement if available, or a full refund. Do not discard any packaging materials until the claim is resolved.
How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, email contact@hangahouse.com with your order reference, photographs of the issue, and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within 24 hours and resolve all claims within 14 business days.
